The appeal of practicing family law for Ashley is that she is able to help clients and their families navigate what is undoubtedly one of the most challenging times in their lives. Family law is also constantly changing with every case bringing its own unique challenges. It is for this reason that adaptability and compassion are the two most important things that Ashley focuses on for all of her client’s cases. 

Ashley grew up primarily in the Houston area but has called San Antonio her home for almost 14 years. Ashley graduated early with her Bachelor of Arts in History along with a Certification from the Business Foundations Program from the McCombs School of Business from the University of Texas at Austin. Thereafter, she went on to graduate with her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio.

While in law school, Ashley worked in the St. Mary’s Clinic for Legal and Social Justice in the Criminal Justice Clinic as a student attorney. She also studied law in Innsbruck, Austria, through the Institute on World Legal Problems where European Court of Human Rights jurist, András Sajó, was a guest lecturer.

Ashley has been licensed to practice law in Texas for 11 years. During that time she has primarily practiced family law, and handled cases in Bexar and its surrounding counties. Ashley worked at one of the largest family law firms in the nation for just over seven years. She utilized her experience and knowledge to not only handle cases, but to provide management oversight to a team of attorneys and paralegals in the San Antonio office. It was this experience and her passion for collaboration in family law matters that led her to partner with Amanda to open Clepper Harrison & Duffy, P.L.L.C.

Ashley lives in Boerne with her husband Dustin and their daughters Rose & Violet.
